Some facts about Canine Urinary Incontinence
Urinary incontinence is most commonly caused by urethral sphincter incompetence. It is most common in large breed, spayed female dogs (11-20% incontinence). Estradol-171β concentrations decrease after ovariohysterectomy in bitches, resulting in deterioration of urethral closure within 3-6 months. Registered for use in male and female dogs.
Dosage & Administration
The total recommended dosage for oral administration is 2 mg/kg (0.91 mg/lb) of body weight twice daily. PROIN is scored and dosage should be calculated in half-tablet increments.
